1) Start up Safari
2) Click "Preferences" from the menu bar.
3) Click the "Advanced" icon.
4) In the "Proxies:" option, click the "Change Settings..." button.
5) System Preferences should open with the "Network" panel open and "Proxies" selected. You may be asked for the administrator password.
6) Select "Manually" from the "Configure Proxies:" menu.
7) Under "Select a proxy server to configure:" click the checkbox next to "Web Proxy (HTTP):".
8) Enter the IP address in the server name field and the port in the port field.
9) Under "Select a proxy server to configure:" click the checkbox next to "Secure Web Proxy (HTTPS):".
10) Enter same IP address as above in the server name field and the port in the port field.
11) Click the "Apply now" button.
12) Close the Network control panel.
13) The first website you surf to, you will be prompted for your username and password.
